FAQ – CheckMate LPG Sensor

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I install CheckMate?

Simply place the sensor on the base of your LPG cylinder — the magnetic base holds it in place. No drilling, no tools, no gas line interference. Setup takes under 2 minutes.

Is it safe to use on a gas cylinder?

Yes. CheckMate is a non-invasive external sensor — it never connects to the gas valve or line. It uses ultrasonic technology to read the level through the cylinder wall.

Does it need Wi-Fi?

No Wi-Fi required. CheckMate connects to your smartphone via Bluetooth (up to 10 m range). The app works on iOS 13+ and Android 8.0+.

How long does the battery last?

Up to 12 months.

What happens when gas is running low?

The Tuya app sends you a push notification when your cylinder reaches a low level threshold, so you can arrange a refill before you run out.

Will it work on my cylinder?

CheckMate fits 3 kg to 50 kg cylinders from Elgas, Supagas, Origin Energy, Kleenheat, Tasco, and most standard Australian LPG suppliers.
